It's a fun job and I love that my team really cheers each other on. As a life-long dancer and former fitness coach, it's a unique opportunity to channel diverse expertise into my work as a designer in the digital health & fitness space.
I love solving problems and creating experiences that help people live better and feel good through thoughtful design. As a designer, I strive to seek out a balance among user needs, business goals, and brand narrative in my approach, and my experience in both research and design methods gives me the ability to jump in anywhere in the product lifecycle, depending on the needs of the project. It's creative and brainstorm-y, yet analytical and data-driven. It's that yin & yang that I find rewarding in my every day work.
HERE'S MY STORY.
Before getting into tech, I spent 15 years building a two-fold career in both entertainment and fitness entrepreneurship. While performing as a Broadway dancer and singer in shows like Rock of Ages and CATS, I spent my time offstage building and running my own luxury fitness company focused on the bridal market. Many of the skills I learned in each of these careers help me every day as designer: collaborating across cross-functional teams, exploring movement and pathing through user flows and compelling stories, exploring business opportunities, getting buy-in, and my all-time favorite: clear communication.
OFFLINE, You can find me...
In my free time, you can find me dancing my heart out at Broadway Dance Center, breaking out power tools for DIY home projects, learning to cook, and taking walks in Brooklyn with my husband and our sweet rescue dog.
